Seven hardy souls braved the threat of rain to gather at Green Lawn Cemetery on this Sunday afternoon. Crossbills had been reported, a Merlin had been sighted -- what avian wonders would we find?
Seventeen of us found ourselves basking in bright sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures at Green Lawn Cemetery on this Sunday afternoon. Reports of crossbills had raised the pre-trip excitement level, but a stiff breeze threatened to make the birding a little more difficult than usual.
This morning was the summer's third installment of Columbus Audubon's Birding by Kayak at The Adaptive Adventure Sports Coalition (TAASC) located on the west side of O'Shaughnessy Reservoir just north of the village of Shawnee Hills. The trip was led by CA president, Bill Heck and me.
